Experience behind the vision
Madhia Qayyum is the Founder and CEO of The Tuition Box AI. A British educator now based in Doha, she brings over 10 years of experience across UK secondary education, academic leadership and tuition.
A graduate of Queen Mary University of London, a member of the prestigious Russell Group, Madhia is a former Head of Department who has taught Business, Mathematics and Computing within the UK education system. She is recognised for consistently delivering GCSE Business results within the top 5% nationally in the UK.
Throughout her career, Madhia has led high-performing departments, trained and mentored tutors, and supported students with a wide range of learning needs, including SEND. As a qualified Mental Health First Aider, she understands that meaningful academic progress depends not only on subject knowledge, but also on confidence, wellbeing and a student's belief in their ability to succeed.
Built From Firsthand Experience
After more than a decade in UK education, Madhia saw firsthand that many students need individual support that teachers cannot consistently provide in busy classrooms. Traditional tutoring can bridge this gap, but its cost and limited capacity prevent it from reaching every learner.
She founded The Tuition Box AI to make high-quality, personalised support more accessible, consistent and scalable.
From the UK to the GCC
Now based in Qatar, Madhia is bringing her experience of British education into a region with a strong and growing network of British-curriculum schools.
Beginning with GCSE Mathematics, The Tuition Box AI is being developed to help schools identify learning gaps, provide structured individual support and monitor student progress.
The Tuition Box AI is incubated at Qatar Science & Technology Park in Doha and is being developed for schools and families across Qatar and the wider GCC.
